Are people loving their pet dogs too much?

Well, we see news of people parading in the streets with---their dogs. The doggies are, however, some dressed like toys and even like clowns. Recently, there was a dog who was dyed specially to look exactly like the panda in the movie, 'Kungfu panda'. When it walked on the streets with its owner, it grabbed the most attention. It seemed that it loved to be in the centre of attention but those dyes could cause skin irritation to the dog's fur. Now, this particular dog may like it but what about other dogs? Those owners may find it fun to dress their pets as cute as they want but what will their pets think? They have feelings right? For me, I think there's too much love being showered onto the pets, to the extent of a possible rejection by the pet and it may run away or do silly stuffs just to prevent it from being 'decorated'. Ok, so what are your views?

It's simply impossible to love our furry family members too much. Yes, you can display that love in the wrong manner at times, but anyone who truly does love their dog will know if something is making the dog unhappy. I've dressed my dog up before.. for halloween and once he wore a christmas hat to get his picture taken. But it was not a daily thing. My dog is happy just wearing his collar and playing ball. He is beautiful just as he is, he doesn't need frills to be outstanding. he was born that way!

He's a siberian Husky and Border Collie mix. Has the most beautiful blue eyes you've ever seen.

I don't think you can love your dogs too much. but you can love them in the wrong ways. a spoiled dog is not a happy dog. a happy dog is a dog, not a fashion accessory. what makes a dog happy is a good home, plenty of exercise, enough to eat and owners that understand that to be a happy dog, they have to BE a dog.

The owners themselves have to put themselves into their pets' shoes before 'decorating' them yet.

These people love not their pets but only themselves. It is a cruelty all the best urban

I don't think people who dress their dogs and dye them unnaturally do that because they love their dogs. They do that because they love themselves and they like to be in the spotlights. If someone loved dogs, he/she wouldn't make them look clownish. Dogs are wonderfull just the way God made them, they don't need any jewelry or clothes or hair dye to be our best friends.

Yes. It doesn't mean that they don't have feelings just because they don't talk.

It depends to the owner what to do to their pets as long they happy. Pet dogs is also part of the family. For me, we don't put dress to our dogs. We just only showed them and put shampoo and conditioner. So that they smell good. We don't like our dogs to clown.

I agree. Dogs they do look cute when clowned but I don't think they themselves want to look like that.
