Is it compulsory to say Good Morning to your Colleague?

Just a quick query - in the place where I work, generally, we always say and greet "Good Morning" to each and everyone. However, there are some people who are not used to this kind of attitude. That is to greet "Good Morning" to others. Maybe, they are not orient or not get used to say it everyday. For this reason, there are times, I am thinking, if "Good Morning" greeting is compulsory or obligatory to say to others or to your colleague? I am somehow curious.

Well, it is not compulsary, as far as I can see. This is not in any of the rules and regulations of work places. This is a matter of culture of the place. Some people just say "Hi", and that's it. That's fine too. Yes, some times, some people just don't say any thing, may be just a smile !

For me it is not compulsory. Honestly, I'm not say greetings or say Good Morning to everyone, in my work unless they greet me Good Morning or hi or hello I will greet them too.

A greeting is courtesy around here. Anything from hello, to Good Morning, etc. as long as it's polite.

I would always be greet my colleagues at work in the morning no doubt (unless I got the wrong leg out of bed so to say) But at the moment I dont have a job - so I unfortuately dont have the opportunity. Im of the opinion that greeting on your colleagues will make you feel more social and happy, especially if your happy when you greet your colleagues they will also feel more valuable

It is not compulsory, but it is a nice manners or ettiquete. What goes round comes round. when we respect others they will also respect us.
