I don't that Kobe is a good assist man. He is a scorer but over the years I have seen him passing a lot. Maybe because he is aware that his critics has mentioned that he could not help for the betterment of his teammates. But I think that Kobe has done some good things in the assist department. He trusts his teammates more than before.

First of all, Kobe Bryant is a scorer.. regardless of his assists are good or not, it doesn't matter that much in my opinion because he is a scorer and scoring is what he does best. Assist-wise, Kobe Bryant does have his fair share of the spotlight in that category . All I can say about it is that he has improved his passing ability. Even his assist average increased from his first season up to the current. He has become an excellent team leader as well as his team consciousness has improved big time as well.

Even if I am a big fan of Kobe,i don't think kobe can give as many assists as Nash or someone else. Some fans like me say Kobe can do whatever he wants to .His teammates' bad performance accounts for his low average assist. But is that true ?I have to say "no ".Kobe seldom trusts his teammates ,which leads to it that he only pass the ball when he has to do so .It seems that as time flies,he can not fight on his own as ever,he is still hold the ball at the most of time on court.Kobe's personality can explain that .

Yes, he can make good assists for his position since he is not a point guard so we don't expect him to be mainly doing that. And we've seen through the years how he has matured and has used it as a weapon just like how Jordan used it during his heydays. As we all know, they are subject to strong defense from opposing teams so it makes sense for them to be ready to feed their open team mates and he has been doing that lately. He has really become the leader of the Lakers so he has been doing almost everything for their team's success including sacrificing his scoring if need be.
