Can animals commit suicide?

Per say, No. But... Desert Scorpions repeatedly sting themselves and die if the weather is too hot to survive. Old and infirm monkeys, which live in communities like us, humans, have been observed to cease eating and end their lives. Is it is because they are a physical liability to the community? or that their digestion is so bad because of their age? or is it just a way of dying naturally? I don't know.
