How do you show your appreciation to your colleagues at work?

Today is Appreciation Day here in the office. The Human Resources Dept. prepared "Thank You" cards so all employees can get some and give them to people they greatly appreciate. I took four cards and gave them to my teammates along with a piece of candy. I got one "thank you card" from my manager with a few caramels and I got another card from my teammate, with picture of the team attached to it.:) H.R. also prepared a photo booth so we can have our pictures taken! We are having lots of fun. How about you? Do you have "Appreciation Day" at work?

wow.. sounds great. i proud to you have such company which treated their employees so nicely. My working company doesnt has such day for employee, the employer only would appreciated us if we have increase their income. otherwise, we just get nothing for them. Seriously, you should proud to have such company and it's rare for employer to have such day for their employees. I think i should organize by underground with my colleagues to build up our team work and relation. Thank for your sharing. Have great day ^_^

Yes, I am very much grateful to belong in this company. the company believes in its people; the employees are valued so much because they truly make the difference. This is the best company ever! haha. I hope you also get to experience events like this in your company, and maybe, through your own little way, you can show your co-workers that you appreciate them.. Have a great day too!

Nice to know that..:) It's great when employers take the time to reward its employees may it be through cash or through other sweet and simple gestures of appreciation.

I think thats a really nice idea, but it would depend on the workplace, I hope someone in management is keeping an eye out to ensure no one is excluded or left out... In my workplace there are only 10 of us and we just try to remember to say thank you to those who have helped us, it is really important. We show thanks to clients etc in a showy way with gifts and so on, but it's easy to forget those who help alongside us every day

Yes, it's true. Sometimes, we really forget to thank the people who are helping us everyday like the security guards, janitors, etc. And it is also good to set a day of celebration where everyone can be appreciated for a job well done. Our company has a lot of employees but I think everyone received "thank you" cards. :)
