Turn that Music Down!!

One of my pet peeves is when people come through neighborhoods or relatively respected places blaring their music! I'm like, 'don't you have any respect for the ears of civility???!!!' Now, I love music, in fact, I play 3 instruments, and I also sing, but good grief...I'm not gonna blast someone's windows out and impress them by showing them how fast I can ruin our hearing!!' Tell me what you think. I want to hear from both sides, the ones who agree with me, and the one's who have to read this because they couldn't hear me...

I understand how you feel, I feel the same way. There's a person in the other neighborhood who can't seem to get the fact that she can't really sing. Then blasts off her speakers in the middle of the day and singing to her heart's content. We can't really file a complaint because it's midday and we could only complain when it's past the curfew hour of 2am! Whew! I mean, can you just sing without putting the speakers on the top setting!??!?! I just don't get why they're like that, perhaps she's deaf.. well for sure she's tone deaf!

if its daylight, it okay for me to hear those high-volumed music of our neighbourhood...what's irritating is when they are singing in a videoke machine and they do not want to stop singing all day and night long. i can't have a good sleep and guess what? when i wake up in the morning they will start to sing again and don't ever expect them to stop singing. i guess its just a hobby of some people, they all want to sing. but in our country, videoke machines should be all stopped by 12am. to avoid complaints of many people.

I totally agree with you. Although none of this has ever happened at my estate, I understand where you're coming. Well some people have no respect for other people as they have that kind of mindset that, "oh my music is nice, I wanna share it with other people as well!" But they don't know that their definition of nice music is the total opposite of other peoples' definition of nice. Yea.

I agree. Music can be annoying when it is played too loud. I have a neighbor here who plays the drums. The annoying part is, he is about 2 houses away from ours and still we can here his drumming. It's all drums and who can be thrilled about that? It's all banging and clashing, not music at all! He practices almost every afternoon during siesta hours? Oh please man. You should have a soundproof room to practice your noob drumming.

Hey pastorlamont...I am another agreeing with you! It drives me nuts when people are driving along with their music so loud all you can hear is 'boom boom'...besides the irritation to everyone else I always think about the safety aspect of it - If there was an emergency vehicle with a siren on trying to get through they would never hear it! That's not even mentioning the damage it must be doing to their ears.

I know what you mean... my brother sometimes plays his music a little too loud and it can get quite annoying indeed (especially when it's some kind of techno with a really repetitive beat!). A couple of months ago, when I was staying at my boyfriend's place, some of his neighbours in the adjacent building were having some party, and they had their music horribly loud... we could hear it perfectly, so I don't even want to imagine how it must've been for the people living next door! And I'm not talking about some 'wild teenagers' or such, no... they were people in their 30s-40s, and they partied for almost the whole day! Sure, there's nothing wrong with having fun at a party and listening to some music, but one keep in mind that they don't live in the middle of nowhere and that if they're too loud they can disturb their neighbours... but I guess some people just don't understand that, or simply don't care.
