Hi has anyone had trouble with a toyota carolla? I always heard they were great cars and new a few people that have them. Well I decided to buy a 2009 carolla.. Bad mistake. this car stinks. It's 2 yrs old and has 16,000 miles on it. Well recall after recall and then the water pump broke.. UGH!!!! Way to soon for that car.. I had the gas peddle fixed recall, floor matts recall, brake line hose recall and now the starter is sticking on cold starts. What makes it worse the dealer said thye can not duplicate the noise so they cant fix it.. Won't take the starter out and look or check flex plate or bendix palter either. Maybe to cclose and causingf it to stick.. They said Toyota Corp will think they are trying to give parts away free. Ya right. I'm not a happy customer and will never by a toyta again.. Be ware of the 2009 corola I got a lemon...............

My family has always owned Toyotas, Hondas and Lexus cars and we have never had any problems. They bought my car in November 2008, a brand new 2009 Toyota Corolla Sport with a total of 5 miles out the door. I have never experienced any problems before. I brought my car into the dealership to get the recalls all done (the ones you listed - pedal, floor mats, brake hose, water pump) everything done.. And, I have not encountered any problems and I love my car! I am a happy customer and my family is looking forward to buy the newer model 2012 (when it comes out) Toyota Camry SE V6! We have the 2005 Toyota Camry LE V6 and love it. I wish I chose the Camry SE originally because it is bigger and roomy. Sorry, you are not a satisfied customer but Toyota overall is not a bad brand!
