My husband brought me home a spaghetti squash. Now what do I do with it? I remember my mom cooking these a long time ago. I can't ask her though, as she passed away in 1993. Any recipes or suggestions for this lovely squash?

i usually boil squash and mash it... like mashed squash.... i put either butter, sugar, or salt, pepper, anything.... i treat it like a substitute for mashed potatoes

boil it up and scrape out the "strands" and just treat it like you might treat regular spaghetti, either tomato sauce (not my favorite) or some butter and garlic (not on my diet)

LOL, usually you use it in place of spaghetti! I mean instead of the pasta, with the sauce (and meatballs!) on top. That squash is a namephreak.

Spaghetti squash is great! I boil it until it softens to get the 'spaghetti' out. Then I make my favorite lasagna, only substituting layers of spaghetti squash instead of noodles. Comes out great and the family loves it. Enjoy!

I used to love spaghetti squash! Just bake it in the oven. Then gut it and use the insides just like spaghetti. I always made spaghetti out of it by adding my favorite sauce! Or just butter them it makes a nice addition to any meal!
