A couple of months ago I woke up to find that my giunea pig was acting so funny and weird. He didn't want to eat and he yelped everytime someone touched him. He seemed as if he was in pain. I didn't have money so I had to borrow money from my grandmother to take him to the vet. I was going crazy calling to see where I could take him. I wrapped him up in a towel and we took a taxi into Manhattan. While in the taxi I knew that it was no use, I knew that he was going to die right there in my arms. As I looked at him I stroked her fur and all of a sudeen he took his last breat and his head went lip. I felt the tears in my eyes and I told my mother that we had to turn back because he died. I couldn't believe it. I named him Tsukasa and it was actually the first pet that I had that I bought with my own money and that I actually took care of. We ended up burying him in the backyard of our apartment building and I said a small prayer for him. It was sad that and I'm still sad. My mother told me that I should get another one but I don't think that you should just replace a pet just like that. It's stupid. You don't replace a pet the same day your other pet dies. So has anyone else had a guinea pig die before? Or any other pets? Did you immediately get another pet or did you wait? p.s.: I still haven't gotten a new guinea pig and I don't think I will get another one for a while.

I'm sorry to hear about your pet. Of course you need time to morn. You may want to research guinea pigs and illnesses they have before you get another one. They don't live very long. Only a few years. Again, I'm sorry for your loss.

Yeah if I get another one I'm going to research them more. Because I would love to have another guinea pig but I just don't see myself having any right now. Thanks and happy mylotting!

I really can't tell you how much I want to give you a great big hug! These pets are our babies! I know that guinea pigs are averaged to live 6 to 8 years and I can't bare the thought of when my little furbabies have to go. Wait a while and mourn your baby. Then you can get another if you choose. Not to replace but to love again.
