what is your favorite old time church song ?

Yeah, those were the good ole days for sure! I don't know if I can pick my favorite of all the old songs. There really are a lot of them! I know one time i was sitting in front of an elderly lady and she was singing, "Tis so sweet to trust in Jesus"... it was a precious moment!

I have so many favorite old time church songs, in fact I love the old songs than the new ones because I love reminiscing my happy childhood in the province when life was less complicated. I used to accompany my father in the church when he would celebrate the Holy Word during the days when our parish priest was having an out of town engagement. It was such a terrific childhood, lots of wonderful memories. That's why I prefer old time church songs than the new ones.

I might have the name wrong, but I think it was called, "Power of the Blood of Jesus" Or at least those were the words in the song..I think I liked it because of the fast beat, and that was with just an organ/piano. Then a few years ago I heard it played with a piano,guitar and drums..Wow!!!! Really fell in love with it then, the drums made it even better..

I like A Mighty Fortress is OUr God, which was composed by Martin Luther. There are a umber of really good old church songs though and I find some of them to be inspiring. I haven't gone to church for awhile though, because the one I like to go to is far away from me.
