When Right Seems Wrong

There is a way that seems right to man, but its end is the way of death. (Proverbs 14.12) When the crowd is running the wrong way, it's hard to be the oddball who runs the right way. Most of the participants in the NCCA 10,000-meter cross-country race in Riverside, California, thought Mike Delcavo was heading the wrong way. He kept waving for the other 127 runners to follow him, but only 4 believe he had taken the right turn-the turn that all the other competitors had missed. When he was asked about the reaction to his mid-course decision not let the crowd determine his direction, Mike responded, "They thought it was funny that I went the right way." First-century pagans reacted the same way to the changed lifestyle of their Christian neighbors. The apostle Peter said, "They think it strange that you do not run with them in the same flood of dissipation, speaking evil of you" (1 Peter 4:4). Non-Christian still think that followers of Jesus Christ are going in the wrong direction. But actually, believers are headed for the victor's crown and a heavenly home (2 Tim. 4:7-8).

We often thought that we are right but we are not because of pride and dishonesty. . But thru the grace of God we are always forgiven and thru His loving kindness. We can come to Him and seek His wisdom and knowledge.

The route that no-Christians choose may seem rigth to them, but it leads to eternal loss. Keep on the right path, no matter how many are running the other way. "The path we're on determines our Eternal destinaton; One leads to everlasting life, The other; condemnation". It's better to be right than popular.

Jesus assured us.. as He said in His word, John 8:12, "I am the light of the world. Whoever follows Me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life." It is so clear the word he said about the world.. This world seems to walk in a different way. Jesus knew it, the path of this world leads to distruction, no assurance, uncertainty, worries, and fall. That's why He said, "I am the way,the truth and the life.." That's all in a package. Unbelief is something that really creates fogs which unable us to see the real walk of this life. Jesus Himself is the guarantee. They say we can't be in a certain area if we don't experience it. So sad it's too late to regret. If we will just allow to experienced Jesus, we have nothing to lose.
