Should the Williams sisters play in the Men's tennis tournament?

The Williams sisters are probably the best thing that happened to women's professional tennis. They are big, strong and certainly play good tennis. In my opinion, if they were allowed to play in the men's tournament, I think they would and perhaps even win. Maybe, they should be allowed to play in the men's tournament just to see what happens.

I agree that the Williams sisters are fabulous, but if women start going over to the men's tournaments, the women's tournaments would become second class. Just because a woman can hit harder than most others doesn't mean she should be on the men's tour. The men's games is technically different from the women's game, too- for example, women don't usually hit as hard as the guys, so if you can chase down a ball you can get it, which makes good court movement more of an advantage. Against men in exhibitions and promotional matches, certainly. But official ATP tournaments? Probably not.

That's an interesting thought but I don't think it's possible now. It's true that the sisters are big, strong and powerful players but I don't think it's strong enough to compete seriously against the men. Another thing is that they are no longer in their prime and both have been injured off and on so that has detracted from their game a bit. Plus, there would be too many issues that can be brought up with this. I think that's why they have those mixed competitions.

No, I think the Williams sisters should play in the Women's tennis tournament only. Even if they are strong, big, powerful etc. But after all, they are still females. It is just like that you can't ask a weaker man to play in the Women's tennis tournament. I love China
