I picked this up because it's a pizza mystery. This seems to be the first of a series though I've not looked it up to check for myself, I do know that atleast there is a sequel to this book. I read it and told my husband that I liked the book so I am sure one day he will pick it up and read it as well. It even has a pizza recipe in the back of the book.
In any case it's about a pizza owner who delivers a pizza to a man late at night, before she goes home. Her delivery guy called out sick, though she suspects he was with his girlfriend. Well she goes to the home she's delivering the pizza too and there is the guy laying in the floor dead, murdered. She's accused and together with her sister she sets out to solve the murder, but what will it cost her?
It's a pretty good book and I recommend any mystery lover to pick it up. It's a fast read, and isn't as heavy as some mystery books but with the right level of suspense.
Have you read this book before?

NO, but it reminds me of a rather uncomfortable occurence some years ago. I was a security officer at a local supermarket. A customer had spoken to our manager, having gotten home to find that a lettuce (I think) that he had bought at our store had turned out to be bad. They were actually preparing their meal, and asked if we could deliver another as it they could not leave the home.
Our manager was OK with the idea, but had no spare body to deliver except me. Then we found that we were out of lettuce. So we reached the agreement that if I got the lettuce elsewhere & delivered, what time was left before the end of my shift was mine.
I bought the lettuce, and eventually found their house on a poorly lit street in the neighbouring toen. The areas reputation was similar to the Louisian outback, so I was unhappy wandering about darkened streets in security uniform. When they answered the door both were semi naked, and wandering about as if they had no cares in the world. Urgent, my backside!

I think I saw these books at Borders one time! It sounds very familiar and I remember laughing when I first saw the title and what it was about. Sounds like a fun read though. Thanks for reminding me about these books. I think I may see if they have them at the library and if not, maybe add them to my Christmas list this year! I'm always looking for new titles to read.
