Pregnancy and uterine fibroids

A little over a year ago I was informed that I had 2 Submucosal uterine fibroids both about the size of a golf ball but htey were nothing to worry about and best left alone. I haven't given them much thought since until about 3 months ago when my husband and I started talking about having one more child before I reach the age of 35. When we tried for kids before I would get pregnant within the first 2 months, not this time. I have an appt. with the doctor but it's a month away, non- emergancy,but I have been driving myself crazy while I wait. Has anybody been in this situation or one similar to mine? I would love to hear any stories or advise you may have.
