Long time ago, i have this childhood sweetheart, we grow up together, go to same school from grade school to high and we're nieghbors too. He's very close to my family and vice versa. Because of our relationship, i come to like him, since grade school. When we were in junior high, his friend knows about my feelings for him and he told him. The day after, his friend which is my classmate in junior high told me that my childhood sweetheart said that he can't take it. there's even a saying he qoute" THE SOUP WON'T SPOIL". until now, i am still confuse what does it mean. Three years ago, i asked him tru msm and he said that he didn't say anything about it. So until now, i don't know what is the reason why he said that and i don't know what does it mean. It's complicated.

hi there yomy, for me i think what he meant for that is, he dont wanna spoil the strong relationship that was built between your family and his family....because if will take an advantage of your revelation, something will change with the relationship with your families...so, you better move on with your feelings and find another guy who can accept your feelings....

It means he doesn't wanna ruin the friendship you and he has. It also means that he's gay.

Maybe he said "the soup won't boil." That makes more sense than the soup won't spoil. Every soup spoils if left long enough. Since he doesn't remember saying it, I would just forget about it.
