The teacher of my niece sent a text messages or called my sister in law just to inform them that there will be no classes today due to anniversary for the proclamation of Martial Law. My sister in law was wondering about it if other students does not have a class just like my niece. Then someone told her that in other places there are classes. Then when my Dad knew about it he even asked my sister in law if the teachers of my niece are Marcos loyalist. Are there any students or school that does not have a class due to the anniversary for the proclamation of Martial Law?

Bongbong Marcos, the son of late dictator Ferdinand Marcos, even have the temerity to say that our country was better off under Martial Law. If I was there, I would have landed a fist on this a-hole's face. So many people killed and so many of our country's future wasted because of this single family.

Martial Law - death,torture,killing
Hello Metatronik, WHY ON EARTH WOULD THEY BE CONSIDERING MARTIAL LAW as a Holiday when it was one of the saddest parts of history. many people killed, Curfew, harassment and false accusations; worst, Dictatorship! I wouldn't comment if i were there, but i would surely be frustrated about it. unless it's a way to remember the dark times, that's fine. but if this is a form of a celebration, I'd rather go to work and get extra pay!

I won't celebrate it either if that is the case then the only reason of not going to the office is that at least I could rest or I am lazy to work. If the boss is not available then of course I won't go. So meaning in USA the September 11 must be a holiday as well because of the Terrorist attacked? Unless it is about to pay respect for the victims.

I think I have the same question as your dad. Where does your niece study so that I can refrain from sending any hapless being there? I passed by several schools today and everything was normal. I saw a lot of students on their way to school. Might they be playing hooky? We always associate anniversaries with positive events. However way I look at it, I cannot see anything positive about martial law. I associate everything dark with it. Someone should say something about that. Maybe you can youscoop or ireport them?

She is actually studying at Vergel Learning Center that is located here in Pasay City. By the time they announced that she will be no class today it was already night time or at least afternoon.

And I don't think Noynoy Aquino will implement that.
