My boyfriend's work is based in Shanghai, and I'm in the Phil... But even for the situation we're having right now, we tried to be closed to each other all the time. Talking every night in skype and sending sms messages to each other every now and then. And never failed to say I love you...So even we're far away from each other it still feels like we're so near and close for each other. Temptations is everywhere but it only depends on you.

well it would work, you have to trust each other though and hopefully you hang in there and break the norm of long distance relationships not surviving.

My husband is working on a cruise ship as a casino manager and their ship is in Miami,Florida. He only calls once a week but everyday we sent messages to each other. It's really hard but we have to sacrifice for the future of our kids.

I totally agree with you! ^_^ Me and my boyfriend were separated for two years on our 1st to 3rd year of our relationship yet we fought for our love no matter how far we were to each other. It's just a matter of trust and faith (aside from love), that will make you both strong and overcome every obstacles in life. Long distance relationship is not quite easy but this is one of the best ways of testing how far can lovers go to prove their love for each another. What we've through during our long distance affair what made our bond stronger than ever, and in fact, we'll gonna celebrate our 7th anniversary this october. ^_^ I know how it feels! Just be strong coz I know you'll both be together (and happy) someday! Godbless! ;)

If both of you make an effort to keep your relationship alive, then it will work. Long distance relationships that don't work happens when one party or both don't do their best to make their relationship work. There should be an effort like constant communication to make a long distance relationship last longer.

well, I think that in that kind of relationship, you will get a 50% chance of honesty and faithfulness. You know men are like that, they will not tell you but they will do because they are tempted. But anyway negative thinking can't do us good, if we really love the person we should give him the benefit of the doubt to prove how deep is his true feelings for you. But just a piece of advice, don't put all the 100% love and trust because, if one possible thing could happen at least you still can carry on.
