What degree did you finish in college? What do you do now for a living? Many people finish college but eventually lands on a totally different kind of job. I wonder how many people are like me. I am a licensed chemical engineer but I cannot work because of my kids.

Wow a licensed chemical engineer, that sounds impressive..I am actually just starting college, after I already raised three kids and have an 8-year old boy. I am going for a literary art and science degree and my first day of school was last Thursday. My classes are online which makes it easy on me, except sooner or later I'll have to go to a classroom because my math is not available online..:( I am hoping with this degree that it will get me into one of the local schools as a para-professional while at the same time I am writing a novel..Actually I already written a novel, just working on my synopsis and probably will do a little more work on the manuscript...:)

My degree doesn't really suit my degree. I finished Human Resources but now, I am working as an administrative assistant. I plan to find another job at the end of the year, but will try to find on events or marketing. I think one of the reasons why degrees don't fit peoples' current job description is that people (at least in my country), are still young when they are made to decide what course they are going to take in college. From my experience, I was unable to make the right choice because I had different priorities back then. I actually want to take a second degree, but not sure if this will happen as I don't have enough money. And of course, I need to work!

A Chemical Engineer! Wow thats a rare breed but I believe that you would have many people in that sector soon. I studied Politics at regular college. I wanted to appear for the Civil Service Exams but that didnt happen ever. Instead, life took a turn and threw me into the world of computers after my college. I started working as a Computer Instructor and even today am happy to be in that profession. Though now, it is part time and I am a full time web developer and prefer content writing. To keep myself in this field, I completed a Systems Management Course from a renowned computer Institute here. Cheers, Sids.
