Most of us must have endured trials in life. Some have been pounded by problems one after the other. There are people who are able to survive and there are those who remain in catastrophic state unable to pick up the pieces of a broken heart, bankruptcy, loss of loved ones etc., If you have gone through some of these turmoils in life, how did you manage to live and go on with your life again?
My brother ex-law lost about $6M last year in his dairy business, lost everything he had and now in the process of divorce. I could imagine what he has been and going through and my heart goes out to him. It has been more than 8 months since then and his been living off his sister together with his 19 year old son. Both have not taken any job enough that the sister kicked them out of the house. She said sometimes we have to be cruel to be kind, so they learn to get back on their own feet.

I am sorry to hear that. But his sister is right, he needs to get up and find his way in life again. His sister has endured 8 months of sharing her house with him and his son. He should be able to find another job to be able to rent a little house or even a room for both of them and manage foods daily. If he accepted his condition, then he may be able to get up again.
I had a house, a car, a good job, a sum in bank account... then I had nothing not even a penny to eat. I sold anything that can sold, like oriflame, Avon, Tupperwares. Amway... just to be able to eat. Then I work in a small company with minimum payment a month just to get a room for myself (after I stayed in my aunt's house for 4 months). Once I was sure that I can live like that, no matter how people see it after my "comfortably" life before, then I try to find a better job and here I am now. Even when I Sill don;t have a house of my own, I can rent.

Happy to hear that you're able to get back on your feet again. Wish you the best and more power to you.
