It has almost been a year when typhoon Ondoy brought havoc to the Philippines. Billions worth of properties where damaged, hundreds of lives were lost. Nobody was spared, whether you're rich or poor everyone was affected. But it is during this time when the Filipino bayanihan spirit is so alive. You see people helping strangers. Indeed, calamities like this bring out the best in people.
During Ondoy, we were still living in Cubao. We were not affected by the floods. We only knew about the devastation the following day through the news on TV. Where were you when typhoon Ondoy struck the metro? Were you one of those stranded in the flood? Please share your experiences and the lessons you've learned from Ondoy.

I was at my dorm that morning, I did not know what's happening outside when actually it's been raining too hard and it's already flooding because i was too comfortable sitting and chatting in my laptop. I live beside UERM, that school who was terribly hit if you remember because I study there. At 11 am, I found out that the flood was already in our first floor and cars were already floating. We have generator there for quite some time so we were able to manage to cook and charge our flashlights. We barely had food to it though, and it was really scary,
