The Big Want

Gummi Bear chandelier - I first saw this on the show iCarly, and looked online to see if it was real. It was, and I would love to have it!

Is there an item that you really want, but you don't need it so you don't get it? For me, I can't afford to spend much money on my wants. And I'm content not having a lot of stuff. But it would be really cool if I could get the gummi bear chandelier I included in the picture. Maybe you can afford to get what you really want, but since it is not practical, you don't want to spend the money. Either way, what is something that you don't just think would be nice to have, you REALLY want it, but you aren't going to get it for one reason or another....

Hi Ambie! That chandelier is really cool looking. If it's any consolation, you know that our town is built on a giant ant hill, right? THEY would love that, too. I've been saving my Amazon certificate to get a new netbook...but every time I get close, there's something else that I need to spend them on. Oh well...lol

I grew up with parents that didn't believe in expiration dates. Medicine expired only when it was used up. We lived, thankfully, and I'm glad that you did too! Needless to say, I'm much more careful now. On a lighter note, if the vitamins I took growing up tasted as good as gummi bears, mom would have had to keep them locked up. LOL. Wouldn't it be nice if everything that was good for us tasted so good?

The thing that I really want, have thought really hard about getting, and decided against it because I truly can't afford it is, season hockey tickets to the NHL team that is in my city. I really enjoy going to games and I am a huge fan and the plus side of season tickets is that one of the hockey players actually comes to your door to deliver them! But they cost thousands of dollars and without going over budget I can not afford them, but I hope someday they will be within my budget, until then I can only dream.

That's really too bad. Hockey needs all the fans it can get, and it is a shame that the tickets are so expensive.

I would dearly love a beautiful home on several acres and a wonderful man who would be loving and caring and good and kind Most items I want I save up for but there are large things I want that are pretty much out of the question for me. The thing I want a great deal and it is also a need is a new car. I have trouble getting in and out of my lovely little Astra so a 4WD with lots of ground clearance is a must for me. There's no way I could ever earn enough to buy one, even second hand. You just never know what can happen though.

I would really like new flooring. The flooring in my house is getting old and desperately needs to be replaced. The carpet has tons of stains on it from when my dog was a puppy. The kitchen floor is coming up because of humidity. I would really love to get ceramic tile in the whole lower level of the house. It would look so pretty and make this house look nice, but we can't afford it. So, I will have to wait (sad face).

A new kitchen - new counters, cupboards, sink, dishwasher, cooker the whole shebang. Just can't afford it even if we did "need" it.

Do you ever look for contests about redoing kitchens? I've come across them before. You might try and find a few. You never know! I never thought I'd win a trip to the 2000 Olympics, but I did. So if that happened, you could definitely win a new kitchen makeover.

i want to upgrade my laptop. though its already 5 years old its still working fine. but sometimes due to the memory is too low, its sometimes slow.. but that's it. everything is working fine. its not that its not needed but there's other things that i should prioritize and my computer is not one of them. as long as i can still post my responses in My Lot then my laptop is still fine. I really love my Dell Inspiron 640M. Who cares if it's old. No camera or any fancy video card. Oh and also I like to get me an IPAD. Just for reading EBOOKS... hehehe... but its not worth it as well so... there two things that i know is not really needed by i want badly...

Very interesting Ambie, not my style, but interesting..I guess what I'd like to have that is not a need, would be an in-ground pool, (including the pool guy...lol) I love to swim, but hate crowds, so I guess if I could, that is what I would want..:)

gOOD MORNING, I HOPE U CAN GET THIS SINCE U WANT IT.Thankfully my wants are very few. I'm pretty content w/what i have & thankful for it. I guess as u get older u just don't want as much. I guess knowing your limitations when it comes to buying things makes a difference to, lol.

I collect cat ornaments but they have to be a ’different’ kind of cats not your boring statue of a feline. My house has a few around the place and they look quite nice but I really don’t have the space for anymore so I have no plans to buy another any time soon except for the big copper one I saw at the markets a couple of weeks ago. It is too expensive and I have no space, I won’t buy it but I sure want it!

Hi Ambie, with how I can even barely afford my needs, I don't think I can with my wants. But well, my Aunt gave me this Toshiba laptop and a Nikon digicam as a surprise gift. My laptop has a 16 inch screen so you could just imagine what a bulky thing it is to carry around. I don't wanna sell it to buy a smaller one. Being an idiot when it comes to computers, I wouldn't dare take that risk. Now my Nikon's doing really fine but I preferred the Olympus brand over it. I wish my Aunt had asked me first what I wanted but that would make me sound like an ingrate, wouldn't it? I may want a lot of things but I can set aside those for the meantime. By the way, the gummi bear chandelier is really cute.

the big want...most of us do dream of something big and we wish to have it sooner. the thing is, one must wait, chances are things may not be as easy as it shown. save and soon you can have what you want.

Heres a good example. All my life, the one thing I wanted, which was frivilous, shallow but totally wonderful was a pair of Manolo Blanik shoes (Mary Janes, totally expensive, totally impractical but I wanted them). So when I find myself in New York with my now husband (who proposed in a horse and carriage whilst trotting round central park!) I some how manage to steer myself in front of the Manolo Blanik Shop, face to face with the said Mary Janes. My gorgeous husband says to me if you want those shoes they are yours, an engagement present from me. And what do I say (bearing in mind this is probably thing in life I would probably sell a kidney for) I stand there thinking the money we spend on these shoes (£500) would be better spent on our wedding and we can both enjoy it. So when given the opportunity to finally get what I want, I say no, so me and hubby can have what we want. And what did my friends say when I told them. They called me a plonker. A unselfish practical plonker but a plonker. And although Im sure one day Ill get my beautiful shoes, secretly I had to agree with them!

A couple of years ago I emigrated and I sold all my things before I went. I used to have a Nintendo Wii and a Nintendo DS with lots of games. I really miss them and I'd like to buy another one, but it seems every time I have some money, something more important comes along that I need to pay for.

There is this hermoine wand that I always wanted but I dont need it but I want to get it just that it is too costly. Well I guess now people are more into savings what they earn and sacrifice their wants so that they can use that money for a better use
