What Makes Me Feel Young Again Today: Nostalgia with Contra!

Today I am very happy, full of spirit and feel young (I am 29 but I feel like 9!).
I just re-visited my old Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) and did some maintenance. Yes, NES was the most precious lovely nostalgia I have, and I loved it dearly even until now.
I tested one of my old games, and it was Contra, one of the best side-scroller shooting game back there.
Yes, it was still functional!
When the title screen appeared, and I heard that small opening music, I felt like my body was being transported to 20 years ago, when the first time I played this game with my friends, the very day I owned my NES!
Yap! I played it, finished it, and was very happy!
Then, I just played the background music from Contra that I recorded into MP3. Man, even in front of my Mom I was not shy dancing madly!

Sometimes something as simple as this can make us feel so energized and young. It is weird how the children today do not react the same way.

That's because the are still children. In the next 30 years perhaps they will have their nostalgia with their ancient PS3 or Wii.

Funny to think this way but so true technology will evolve in way that these items will become items of the past.

It's amazing how old toys can transport us back to our childhood! Times when we practically nothing to worry about but what game to play next. These are tangible moments! Just like music and scents that can blast you to the past.
