We think and hope that life would be that easy. No worries, no problems and no challenges. But we are definitely wrong. Eventually, challenges will come and test our character, strength, decision making and faith. There will be a point in our life that we have to make big decisions that concerns our future and what we want to do. For quite some time now, I had been put into situations that I have to decide what I want in my life and what I need to do for myself. But making such decisions would involve other people like your family. The question here is, do we really need to include our family in making decisions or decide on our own without considering them in our decisions?

I would always include my family in. They connect me to my past, my culture, my values and what I'm made of. They are partly what my dreams are made of and a reason to look forward to. Families are like the roots of plants, without which standing upright would just be temporary and weak.

Yes, you are definitely right. They are the reason for what we are.

hello, thank you for responding. I think you have a point that family should always be included in big decision making. Right now, I am living apart from my family and trying to be independent. I don't know if that would be the same story?

I think in every decision that we make in our lives, we should involve our family because they to have the right to know and somehow could give us advice or suggestions on what we should do or not. But at the end, we still have the final words on our decisions. They are just there to guide us in every way they can.
