what i miss in the philippines is the food. My family, and relatives and my friends too. The barkadas...tambayan ng ka tropa..wish i have them here. Nakakalungkot talaga..magkaiba ang buhay na kinagisnan ko, kaya it's really hard for me. Iba kasi iyong nasa pilipinas ka..di ko masabi why, meron kasi siyang sincery parang ganon..masaya ka na you can't explain why..basta happy ka lang..

Hello, kabayan! I always miss the warm beaches in my La Union province. I currently live in Western Oregon. The Oregon coast is definitely very beautiful but bbrrrr....I cannot even bob or swim as the water is too cold all year long!!

H yomy! I can relate to you because I also miss the Philippines. Life here in US is too different from the Philippines. It's comfortable living here (US) but the culture and people are different. I am happy here because I can have what I want but from time to time, I still miss the way of life in the PI. I miss my family, my friends and our hangouts. I agree with you that even the life is simple in the Philippines, the happiness is real happiness. I look forward in going back "home."

A lot of Filipinos working abroad really would miss Philippines. There is nothing like the Philippines..our beautiful country that has beautiful places and faces. Well anyway..i know how you feel now but i think you have not followed the rules here. English is the only language that should be spoken here.. Please do read the rules so you won't be wasting time on posting discussions that will only be deleted..just a friendly advise.

I love the Philippines! Those Filipinos who are working abroad would somehow return in the Philippines when they retire. I know it and I have heard about many Filipinos doing this. It is just HOME for the Filipinos. There is no place like home.

It is good that you miss your home, your family and local food. This way the love for your nation, your dear ones increases. It brings more emotional attachments and you forget the small miseries, the conflict situation. I personally believe that every youngsters at some point in their life should move away from the family and it will teach the family value. Beside this, once alone in the alien nation, we do mistakes, learn things make good as well as bad friend and thus it improves our maturity level. It leads us to believe in simpleness. It shows us the path to glorify our family values. I no more miss my family because they are in heart. I love to remember the lovely food, the humorous incidences and that motivates me.
