I prefer Laptop to a desktop computer. Laptops consumes less power and have battery life. Also laptops are portable and lighter. But for gaming, i like to play games on a desktop computer.

well I prefer using my laptop than using my desktop, coz I can carry and use my laptop wherever I want to go and whenever I browse internet I want lying in my bed. Rather than using desktop that I'm just sitting and I'm not comfortable with it! :)

I prefer to work on a computer than a laptop. I don't want to bring any work to any place I go. It's a hassle for me. So I'd rather not have a laptop so I can freely go wherever I want. :)

I have both of them. whenever I do some computer projects at school (software programs) I prefer to use my desktop. Desktop is cheaper than laptop and easier to upgrade, whenever there's a new processor you can simply change your processor to the latest one. For me desktop is very economical, you can buy a cheap one with good features and just upgrade it the way you wanted it to be. As a student, I learn a lot when it comes to hardware when I use desktop. But I really prefer to use both of them since I go to school everyday, laptop is what I use at school.

Well, if we speak about functionality and durability at the same time, then I will choose computer over laptop. That's because computer can survive for a long time, even 5 to 10 years range. Plus, computer can easily be upgraded if you need it. Also, you can store multiple hard drives and optical drives to enhance storage and productivity. Those are some that you will never get from a laptop.

i will prefer laptop over desktop because i can carry it anywhere without any headache. I have been using laptops since three years and didn't found any problem with them. In fact, there are much more advantages of laptop over desktop, like inbuilt battery, small size, easy to handle.

It depends on the situation.. I prefer my computer when I am at home because I have a dual monitor (bigger) ..it won't get hot (like how laptops are), it stores more memory, bigger, has a full keyboard/mouse and is easier to use and is secure/strong... AND, I think you found a person who prefers computers than a laptop :) Laptop is only useful when you are at school.. I'm in college, and have a 3 hr break so I use my laptop since I don't like using the schools computers because you have to stand in line and wait... plus people are beside you nearby. Laptops are useful when you are on the go, doing project with groups, at a friends.. but overall I don't like them because I easily break laptop, they got hot easily, run out of batteries and so forth. Overall, I prefer computers then laptops!!

Depends what I want to use it for really. If it's for gaming then I'd definitely take a desktop, better value for money and don't run as hot. For general use/Uni then a laptop is great for the portability. Overall I have to say I use a desktop a whole lot more than a laptop.
