Christmas Trees. Do you like it fully decorated or not so full?

I have seen trees that are so overly decorated that you can't see the tree at all! I prefer a tree with the decorations placed at least 6 inches apart. You can see the tree. The lights are not overpowering.

Sometimes less is more, I actually saw a tree today at the store that was decorated with black/silver and red decorations, I really liked the look of that.

we have the usual, lights (clear), gold decorations this year, bows, and the wooden snowflakes with the family members names on them.

Last year we put blue lights near the inside of the tree and white lights on the outside. Beautiful

I like trees that are beautifully decorated... This means being able to still see the tree...I try to decorate our tree beautifully he he... but with three kids, three cats and one dog well ah... it starts out okay but like a few hours into it the cats have decided that oh the decorations are fun and they fall off.. or the kids decide oh this ornament looks better here and so on.. so I give up... oh well... the kids enjoy it and that is all tha tmatters...

I never gave it thought. I like real ones, and not too much on it.

I have to admit I like a lot of decorations on the tree. I like it to be really colorful, you can still see the tree though. Also, I hate to admit it, but I am one of those people who take forever decorating the tree because I'm so picky, and that's also the reason I do the whole thing by myself. In fact I have been working on it all day today and I'm still not quite done. It is a tall tree, between 6' and 7' tall. It's hard work, but I love to look at it once it's done. I have gotten many compliments on my Christmas trees over the years, so I think I'm doing a pretty good job, anyway I like it.

I have to have every ornament on the tree by size. If an oversized ornament is placed near the top I have to move it. I can't stand to look at the tree if it isn't symmetrical. My husband put the ornaments on the tree this year. I complained and started to rearrange them. He saw his error and joined me. LOL...too funny.

I like lots of lights but I don't like them to blink, but I agree about too many decorations. My cats must not like them either because they are always batting them around.

we don't like blinking lights either. I prefer them to stay lit.

I don't like that either. When the kids were little they loved to decorate the tree. Now we have a white fiber optic tree. I think it's beautiful with no other decorations. We put the tree up, plug it in and we're done!

Some trees are nice without decorations as long as they have lots of lights. Our tree has lots of decorations, though we lost a few a couple of years ago when the tree fell over on me. My husband, my kids and I all get a new ornament in our stockings every year - usually with our names on them. Then when the kids grow up and leave home they have decorations to take with them. As they are get older they are now allowing us to toss some of the decorations they made when they were really young. So, most of our decorations have names on them. We can still see the tree.

I gave the kids most of their handmade ones. I have a few still.
