A headline now in Yahoo is the news that Abbott will be recalling miilions of containers of their milk formula Similac (which according to report is a best-selling infant formula in the US)because of contamination. Based on the report, "the company said the products may contain a small beetle or larvae, which could cause stomach ache and digestive problems" This is a distressing news. What if some of these products have actually been given to infants already? Wow, to think that the victims are infants.

Well, this isn't the first time that something like this has happened. Yes, it is quite distressing that something like this should happen with infant formula, but it is also something that we as individuals don't really have any kind of control over. That said, I'm sure that there are some infants that have already consumed the milk before the recall came out. I can only hope that if any of them had to have any kind of medical treatment that Similac will step up to the plate and pay for those medical bills.

HI, I just get to know about this big news after reading your post. it is pretty dangerous if the milk product contains such elements and hopefully there is no victim of this contaminated milk formula. I remembered there is once in China also have this contamination of milk formula and few babies was killed after consuming the milk formula. I pray hard such cases won't happen again. Lucky, my son is not taking this milk formula... BE AWARE to all parents in buying this brand of milk formula SIMILAC.
