I have a 3months old HP MINI notebook. My boyfriend bought this in Indonesia and anything was here already. But I'm just wondering if I have to have a 3 Anti virus here? I have Avira, McAfee and Smadav which actually I don't really understand the word saying because it in INDONESIAN language but I notice that sometimes there are virus and worms that detecting and I just quarantine it. Am I doing right? Is it ok to I just uninstall the McAfee? Because when it scan my files it's always just scanning 0% for the long time.. And I think it's just a waste of time waiting to it! And also one thing in there is NORTON GHOST. I am wondering why since I got my laptop from my boyfriend the status every now and then is AT RISK! Why is it like that?

I have been using AVG for many years and I am very satisfy with it. So far I have not getting into any virus trouble furthermore it is free. By the way, like other lotters said, try not to installed more than 1 antivirus software, it will slow down your system.

My sister is also using a AVG antivirus on her laptop. And I notice that eventhough my laptop is more upgraded and new than her's, my system is slow than her. Actually we have the same laptop,we're both have HP MINI but her is HP MINI 110 at mine is 210.. Where can I download a full version of any top anti virus? Since I don't have budget to purchase an anti-virus! I think it's worth so expensive. right? :-(

What in the world are you doing with 3antiviruses???? Yoiu dont need all that,it will make your system very slow as they will see each others activity as a virus. you say it scans 0percent for a long time right?well its because of the three programs you have running as anti viruses on your system. My advice?Uninstall all and get download the latest version of avast,or if you dont want to do that then uninstall any 2 of them and do that now so as to start enjoying your laptop. You are lucky its new if not by now your laptop would have crashed!

you should only use one soft AntuVirus. Because there are some soft of Antivirus is incompatible. Uninstall 2 soft that you feel it work not good. Now i'm using AVAST FREE ANTIVIRUS, it's work very good and Free one year.

I use Kaspersky, it works pretty good. I have used Norton and it was the worst antivirus i used.

Kaspersky. I've tried all of the leading packages and for me, this is the only one that truthfully removes all issues that it finds and they regularly update it so it's pretty much one step. Norton always slowed down my pc, it was fairly effective but it had issues removing certain things. Mcafee well that was utterly useless in my honest opinion, as it was both slow and awful when it came to removing viruses. I really haven't had many since I've used Kaspersky and Firefox. Long may this continue.

if your are looking for free anti virus then avast is best available on net. if your windows is genuine then don't look back, install microsoft essential which is for free if your looking to buy an anti virus, then buying a security suite is better than just and anti virus, i use eset security suite and haven't faced any problem until now.

And always it caught every types of virus. So I like this antivirus. I have tries many antivirus but I am happy with this antivirus. Because it gives fully protection to my systems against some unwanted applications.

I think your norton antivirus has expired and need to be updated. It will keep you inform of the your computer at risk until you update it or purchased a new one. Moreover, I like norton anti-virus since it can detect virus and worms my other anti-virus can't. If you have installed a trial anti-virus and it has expired. Just uninstall it and download another norton antivirus trial edition or the best purchased one online. If you are saving money like me, then the best resort is to uninstall your antivirus then fill up a form for the new trial version and installed it. Usually, they give you 30 days trial period and when it is due again just repeat the process of uninstalling and downloading a new one then install it again. For your other anti-virus, I advice you to just keep two antivirus. Having many antivirus will slowdown your pc since it will work underground.
