I got a request from a pretty girl to send my e-mail address. I hesitated to send my mail address. Now she is silent. Have I missed the train?

Don't know what you mean by "missed the train", like if it was your last opportunity ?
I would guess she's not the only pretty lady available in the internet who would like to share email addresses.

I don't think you need to wait for anything, things might just happen, but if you want to do something about it and continue interacting socially with people on the internet, that's a good thing to do anyways.
I mean, whatever you feel doing it's ok, just don't take this too seriously if someone like this person stops responding all of a sudden, don't blame yourself for it.

There's a chance you did miss the train. But if it's me, I'll wait a more elaborate request from her say when the girl asked for both my email addy, phone number, home address, height, weight, color of the eye...aha partly kidding.. The more she ask from me the more I'd trust the girl. It is never easy to meet many girls and only remember them when you found someone new. You'd be so full of them you can't concentrate on the more proper girl.
