Sad to say this but there is no real solution to your problem except not to open many tabs, or use a different browser. Internet Explorer has been a memory hog since the beginning. One of the reasons is the existence of many functions. If you want to use a browser using the same engine Trident engine as IE then try Avant or Maxthon. There are other browsers but they seem to be more popular than the rest of Trident based browsers. If you like to have many tabs open at the same time, and want the settings to remain so that the tabs will open when you restart the browser, then Opera is the best choice. It is if you rarely visit websites optimised for IE or Firefox. Even so you can set Opera to identify itself as a different browser. In many cases this solves the compatibility problem. Firefox is still grappling with stability problem. As a whole it is not as fast as Opera. For example the Cash Gopher home page loads faster on Opera. Chrome uses a lot of memory. Many heavy surfers have reported crashes. I experienced it too.

Good explanation rosdimy. Trying to open too many tabs puts lot of strain on the system and thus the crash occurs.

I am currently using Firefox and chrome. They seems mouc better than IE. Working in this browsers is comparatively easy. So i suggest you to use any of this. They dont have this crashing problem.
