Any eBook Authors on Mylot????

I'm looking for an establish ebook author, one who knows how to format their ebooks correctly. I have been trying for a while to get an ebook formatted correctly and I keep getting an error message:
Add a paragraph return on an empty line to separate the sections. Also, please insert a paragraph return on an empty line before and after your chapter headings. This will prevent your sections from smashing together.
I use MS Word 07-when I go to the home section I see the Paragraphy section is this where I would go to insert a paragraph return?

Hello,
I've published a few eBooks, mainly to help engineering students. These books can be downloaded for free from my blog. I didn't care much for formatting. I just wrote my stuffs down and then converted it to pdf document and then uploaded it. I maintained some basic formatting in order to facilitate reading. They have no cover designing, nothing decorative. As a professional author you've to choose the formatting for your own book, which would include the front cover. In sites like Lulu there are applications with which you'll be able to decorate a front page for your book. Congratulations in advance for your eBook. You are an excellent writer indeed. Thanks.

Me too, I just write on word and convert it to PDF.
I care a little for the formatting, but not too much.
