what would you do if your bf/gf chooses her/his work over you...

yea. in one of my previous relationship this happend often. i said ok...the first time, the second, even the third...but when he refused me for the forth time..I said ok I think it;s better to end things here. keep your work if you prefer it over me. and now he keeps looking for me and he wants us to get back together

I depends, if we would have financial problems, and we would work for our good, but just for a period of time i would be ok with that. But if he would do that withou any reason, i would feel neglected, and i would be sad all the time, i would think that i don`t count at all for him, and at some point i would break up with him.

i think i would just not compete with his work. im sure he has his reasons. and if that is his choice to choose work over me, then well good for me at least i would know already i will not need to stick around and wait for him to decide and want me in his life more than being his gf... so i won't take it personally.

I would thank him/her for going to work and supporting my lazy butt.

I agree it can be a very bad feeling when the person you love is not standing there for you it can hurt you al ot. Now i'm in a gay couple relationship and if my boyfriend tells me it's time to leave my job. I will leave my job why because i love him and if we feel as if it's time to leave the job and that we can stable the bills then yes I will leave and the same thing will go with him if I say the same thing as wll lol. Haha... To answer your question I will rather live in a box before I leave the person I love we been together for years haha

That will depend on the person's capability to understand. As long as it was not done always, I could bear those things understand that we could be together some other time. It will also depend why I needed my girlfriend. If need to be with her because I'll be gone for a long time like working abroad, of course I would love to spend quality time with her before I'm off. But if those kind of situations she still chooses work over me, I think that would really hurt and probably upset me. Well as of now, we only do some overtime at work and there wasn't really a time that we chose work over our time with each other. It only happens on emergency cases like urgent jobs and that's quite understandable for us. -)

I will not immediately think that he'd rather work than be with me. I understand that there are times that he cannot always be by my side when I need him. I think there always should be a balance between work and relationship.

simple! he doesn't deserve my love! Boyfriends who can't defend you for whatever circumstances in life is not worthy for the love we're giving them. There's ALWAYS someone who's BETTER than him, someone who couls really defend you and who could always be there for you NO MATTER WHAT! Trust me, I've been in that situation already! God bless! ^_^

Maybe a person (1)is just trying to gain a bit more working hours to have more money for the future? Or maybe (2)that person has found somebody new at the workplace or maybe (3)that person is somewhere else (just kidding but try to find it out). Personally, I don't really care if it is case (1). Otherwise, I would be very annoyed and would demand a lot of satisfactory explanations.
