If you have seen Back To The Future 2 and 3, maybe you remember the pink hover-board that came in handy quite a few times in both movies. It was something Marty took back from the future.
That was one thing I was really excited about when I first saw the movie years ago. I mean, when I was a kid skateboards were everywhere. Every other house in the neighborhood had a skateboard. My best friend had a skateboard and use to show off all of his stunts.
I had always thought because of the fame with skateboards, that hover-boards would definitely become in existence in the future. They were already working on hover cars, why not hover-boards, right? Well it's the future and no hover cars and no hover-boards.
Oh well. What things from futuristic movies/shows did you think we would have by now?

But you missed an important point, it was the year 2015 that Doc and Marty visited in the future and so there are still 5 more years to go before we know for certain hoverboards exist. Well that's what all of us fans say who would love for them to be able to commercially make a hover board, lol.
What is quite funny is do you remember the self fastening trainers/boots which Marty puts on. An amateur inventor has managed to build a pair and they actually look quite good.

Very good point. I still have five more years before I give up hope. lol.
I didn't know about the amateur inventor. That is so cool.

I love the Back to the Future movies but I was very young when I saw them so I don't remember much. I remember the hoverboard, though. One invention that made me think of it is the Segway although that still moves on land. I'd like to see flying cards and hoverboards in my lifetime, and I hope by the time they become available for use of the common people, I won't be too old to use them!
In movies I have seen robots doing household chores and there are such things in Japan now, I think. Only these technological advancements are still too expensive.
I remember in Back to the Future Marty's son was watching TV on a huge screen, and now we have TV screens like that. Marty's and his boss also had a video conference there, which is so common now.

Are flying cars developed already? Five more years to come and we will see things that are in Back To The Future II and not really invented yet. The blender-like thingy attached at the top of the Delorean which converts trash to the 1.21 Gigawatts of electricity to run the Flux Capacitor. That was from the 2015 also. And yet we are still in nuclear reactor plants.
