I know that one can also pay with a credit card via paypal, but for this Im asking about using the funds on your Paypal account for the payment versus using your credit card directly in the payment form provided by the merchant on his website. Both potion have pros & cons. Paypal is easier & quicker when you get the hang of it, & it also protects your credit card information. Which one do you prefer?

Well, as others said, it's more secure to pay by PayPal. I've not bought anything online with PayPal before, and also have not withdrawn money from PayPal, I think it'd be good to pay by PayPal if I want to buy something online, so I don't need to think about withdrawing the money. But, I'm not sure if there is any charges fee incurred.

I prefer using PayPal than using credit card because as you mentioned, it can also protect one's creit card information. It's also just easy to use and there are no confirmation processes that a customer has to go through in some stores. I tried to use credit card once but after entering the credit card information, the store wanted me to send a scan or photo of the actual credit card. The store is trustworthy because I've bought there several times through other payment methods but I refused this one because what they want me to do is totally unsafe. Their site may be Verisign (is that correct?) secured but the confirmation process is just ridiculously unsafe.

I definitely prefer to use my Paypal.. Since that is my online earnings it is like all Free shopping. I think of anything I buy online and use Paypal with as my Free gits to myself. :-)
