PS3 or 360?

I've seen quite a few fanboys bashing their favourite console for the past few years and I was just wondering what the rest of the world thought. Im a 360 convert myself, I played the PS3 for a while but found the 360 to be alot better.

I will vote for PS3.What can you ask more than HD gaming and Bluray support. And XBox 360 has been reported for failures.PS3 is the best selling console in my country and it rocks.

You can play games in HD on the Xbox 360 too, and not many people really care much about Bluray support. The difference in quality on a Blueray disc and a normal DVD is very minimal, and not really noticeable enough to spend £30 on a Bluray over £10 on a DVD.

Always had an Xbox and have never had any reason to need an PS3, but i'm sure that they would be just as enjoyable as an Xbox 360. The great thing about Xbox is the great titals which are only for Xbox, such as: Gears of War's, Halo's and the Fable series. But equally PS3 has special titles as well.

I'll buy a PS3 because Xbox is at it's technical limit now and there are absolutely no games, except Allan Wake, that I'd like to play on that console. Don't get me wrong, Xbox has a good games but those games also came out on PC and I'd rather play them on a powerful computer.

i think the ps3 is better, just because of free online gaming, blue-ray and internal hdd... and some ppl buy a xbox cuz they think its cheaper but it isnt if you want to play multiplayer it will cost you much more... and the hardware of the xbox is not as good as the hardware of the ps3, oh and ps3 is 3d supported (for the ppl who have a 3d tv already, if you dont and you want to buy a 3d tv, my tip: WAIT!! cuz now you need those glasses but in a few month they'll bring a new technology to the normal ppl, its FULL 3d no glasses anymore and you dont have the 6spot failure, now oyu can walk 160° and still see in 3d in stead of the 6 spots ;) )

If it comes down to deciding which console I'd stick with I'd definetly go with the PS3.Hardware wise it is supperior to the XBOX360 as far as I know which is a great plus in my book, besides the capability of playing Blu-ray dvds is quite handy also. The internet on the PS3 is free, unlike the XBOX360 version which requires monthly payments, not that it is something extremely expensive but can get a bit annoying, though the internet isn't exactly the deal breaker for me, the reason I'd go for the PS3 is mainly the controller itself.

It really depends on what you're looking for from it. Before I tell you anything let me tell you I have a 360 and not a PS3, but I've played a PS3 before. Xbox is cheaper upfront (I got a refurbished one at gamestop for $100) but then you have to pay for online ($60 dollars for a year) mine didn't have a hard drive (+ another $45) which comes to a total of $205. If you aren't lucky like me who can use an ethernet cord for internet you'll have to but the internet adapter for $75 which is $280. I think Ps3 sells at $300 (not much a difference). The only reason I chose xbox is because it has more games that I like, the mic quality is better from what I see, and more of my friends actually have them lol. Don't get me started if you want microsoft points though... most of the stuff on the market is overpriced.

I haven't had the chance to play any PS3 games but I've seen them to be quite awesome. I've played 360 games and they were great as well. Since I'm here in the Philippines, there aren't that much games for PS3 yet so I guess I'll stick with 360 first.

Yeah, the Xbox 360 really is much better. The PS3 may have an advantage when it comes to being capable of running bigger, better games, but it's only use for that is exclusives, and most of the exclusives are not worth buying to be honest. Especially not buying the PS3 just to play those games. If you are only a purely offline gamer, than the PS3 could be considered better. If you are an online gamer, as most people are nowadays, then the PS3 lacks in online playability and enjoyment. The Xbox 360 is king when it comes to online, and it's a well known fact, not just "fanboy" arguments. If you look at any PS3 gaming forum, there are usually always at least a few threads about the PS3 being completely worthless online. I would much rather pay £5 a month to play Xbox 360 online than play games for free online on the PS3 and lack a whole load of basic features that the Xbox 360 has.
