Time For A New Glass Door On Kitchen Unit

I am so frustrated (not for the first time)! Because of the greasy smell from the kitchen that remained from yesterday's cooking I decided to clean everything, including the units, tiles and floor. For the units and tiles I used Flash with Febreze. Usually (for the glass door on one of the units) I use polish as grease isn't normally an issue in the kitchen. Anyway, on this occasion I used the Flash. Because I wasn't happy with the streaky result I used the polish straight after..and noticed two "bumps" in the finish that goes around the glass door. The surround is made of wood that has a silver finish and the two bumps are near the handle. There is nothing hot near the units and anyway, they are heat resistant..but, you know when paint bubbles up when hot? It looks like that. Homebase will be made to pay for this. We've only had this new kitchen for just over 2 years and I don't see why hubby has to fork out for another door. He has taken photos as evidence. If I am asked about cleaning products I'll just say that I use polish on the glass..which is only a little white lie. Do you think we will get anywhere? Those bumps are annoying me already!

bumps? is it that real thin plastic protective stuff? if so,you may be able to peel it off-i've done that on my micro when it started to peel.
