I finished these 2 books a week ago. Unfortunately I ready Huck Finn first before Tom Sawyer. I didn't know that the prior was a sequel to the former. The book was a fun and interesting read. I'm amazed at how Tom Sawyer manages to get away with all his pranks! It's a great book for kids, but greater for adults still! It'll remind you of your childhood, how fun and troublesome being kid was. How major you feel your problems were then, as compared to now. How I wish Mark Twain created a story when Tom and Huck grew up already. It's fun to see how they'd turn out. For those who're planning to read this or wondering what to read next, these books are definitely worth the time :)

Great! I'll definitely put these books among the list of books that I would like to read. I know, I still have a lot of books in that list of mine but, its better to have one than to have nothing at all.. (^_^") yeah, that's rationalizing there. I still have pending books to read. Not that its a requirement like those that we really have to finish reading when we were in college but, its not that bad to skip a few titles when you really get interested on some books that gets recommended I still have to finish Alice in Wonderland and that other book that followed it. (^_^")

Alice in wonderland has a sequel? Cool. About a month ago, I decided to look for an alice in wonderland ebook, but I totally forgot about it, thanks for reminding me, though unintentional. How's the book? Does it have a nice story? I can't recall much about alice in wonderland, just how disney showed the story some eons ago! Hope you'll be able to read about tom and huck soon! You'll really enjoy their adventures!

I am not sure that its a sequel but, aside from Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, the book that I borrowed from a friend of mine also has Through the Looking-Glass. Here's what I found about it: Dodgson(English author Charles Lutwidge Dodgson under the pseudonym Lewis Carroll) meets another Alice during his time in London, Alice Raikes, and talks with her about her reflection in a mirror, leading to another book Through the Looking-Glass and What Alice Found There, which sells even better. I have to admit, the book gave me that bed time story feeling I think I still have to improve on my endurance when it comes to classic books like that. I haven't finished the book and most of the parts that I have read are similar with the animated versions that we have watched before. I think I'll enjoy Tom and Huck more than Alice... (^_^")

I very much enjoyed the books too. It is interesting that many people in the US view these books as being racist and many people want them banned. I think it is interesting that you find the books good to read and you read them for enjoyment. Sometimes there are people who are always looking for morl mesages in such books and overlook the fact that many books are writen to be enjoyed.

How was it a racist? because the indians were thought of as killers and blacks were thought of as slaves? Well that was the case in the setting of the story. That was how the whites thought. Haha. I really do find Americans weird. They over-analyze things

Mark Twain was a pseudonym for Samuel Clemens. And the Glorious Whitewasher, that was Tom, was my childhood idol. I was a bit scared of Huck in the beginning because he seemed to be a child all on his own. But later, I loved both with their gal pal Betsy.

Hello! Well, I really love Tom Sawyer and Huck Finn but I never read their books, I just knew them from one TV series in Filipino version. Even though that im already an adult when I watched the movie, I appreciate it really and began hooked by it because of the funny characters of Tom and Huck plus the moral lessons each episode teaches me. The characters was really very interesting and im really impressed how the story became so addicting though its very simple. I wish there's a sequel to this, just like what you said. I am also interested what happened to Tom and Huck and the rest of the characters. Good night!

Aww, I wish I was able to watch the tagalized series too. My office mate told me that she was only able to know the story, the same way you did. I wasn't a fan of TVs since I was a kid so I never heard about it being aired in TV. Last tagalized cartoon series I watched was princess sara, julio and julia. haha
