Opponents of Hugo Chávez today made major gains in legislative elections that could weaken the president's dominant power in Venezuela.

Both sides believe they are winning. What do you think this could mean for Venezuela? for the US? for the World?
The rubber stamp era could be over.

I think that he is losing power to Nobama, he is a dictator and his competition is our current lackey for a prez. Hugo will loose power but he won't go down without a fight, he will do something to stir his people but will they be willing to follow a dictator who has no hand. American should be the focus now, people are going to take back their government and everybody around the world will witness it, if they learn anything from it, that remains to be seen.

If the votes should not be in his favor, what do you want to bet they'll have a recount until they are in his favor? Hugo Chavez isn't going to give up power.
