Monthly income of my family is about 20 million VND. My older brother, I, my younger sister and my younger brother are still going to school. My family has a plot with area is 340 m2. We must pay land use fee is around 1,98 billion VND. We don't have such a large amount. We have to owe money. Maybe we have to sell a portion to repay the money. When the land price increase, land use free also increase. What should we do? Have you ever confronted such a case yet?

I live in Hanoi. The rate of fee: 200m2 *8 million VND * 50% + 140m2*8 million*100%. I think bank will not lend such a big money for a family. and if we can borrow money from bank, we can't repay that money and interest.

With 2000 USD for 8 people. We have to pay the education, health, food, travel, water, power, internet etc. With that money, we can live a full life. But with that money, we can't repay the land use fee. If bank lend us money, I think the money is about severals hundred million VND. It's not enough. And we also can't repay that money and interest with that income.

Hello there Im sorry to hear you and your family are in such an unlucky condition regarding land fees, I find it crazy that you are charged so much compared to the income of the household. Does both your mum and dad work or? p.s Your English seem to have a great level, so maybe I will be able to help you a bit out, atleast I sent a friend request and then we can talk about things.

I certainly understand that there is no desire to sell of land, esp if it has been left to your family through your ancestors. - Somehow you feel closer connected to it. Would that be any opportunity to get like a minor parttime job next to your studies or something similar?

Maybe the best is what you say, to sell something to save on expenses. With that rate of fee, you'll not have to pay for it much longer I think, so there should be another solution. What about moving? Sell the entire terraing and purchase something small with is within your income.

Where we live is our hometown. We live on ancestral land. We don't want to sell it. We love this land.Law in Vietnam is in the construction. Perhaps we are looking forward to a more suitable policy. We may also repay the land use fee higher.

That fee is unbelievably high, seems you have to wait more than 600 years to repay all the land use fee with all family income. What is this kind fee for since a civilian housing place?Well I suggest you sell or rent your current house and move in a smaller place so that you may relieve some financial burden since land use fee is too high compared with housing price. In addition don't abandon your study for carrer since you've beeing investing money into education for years and it's about time to see results. And yes,part-time job would be okay.WIsh you good luck and I'll be concentrating on you.Have a nice day girl!

Hi! Thank for your advice! We don't must repay immediately. We leave it like that. Maybe the land use fee will be higher because land prices is increasing.

Oh,I know now it's the house pricing that contributes to high land use fee which seems like a kind of real estate taxes. Is it 198billion or 1.98billion VND of the total land use fee?I kinda got it wrong, lol.Man that's a large amount of money.

Hi! Before, I thought you were female. But through your story, I know I was wrong.( so sorry). In Vietnam, it isn't difficult to get married. In your country, perhaps in consequence of the population policy to limit population growth makes the gender imbalance. Perhaps decades later, Vietnamese men will in the same situation with Chinese men. You are just 25 years old. You will marry a beautiful wife and live happily. You can marry a foreign wife. I think you don't need a big house with good furniture.
