Cosplay or Costume play has began to be known worldwide although it's still a growing community, there are already a number who have become professional cosplayers. Knowing that, I began to wonder how many of us and are there mylotters who are cosplayers or interested in it? It came as a shock to me knowing that even in Japan, where it probably started, it is not a widely accepted community or activity yet although it didn't stop game and anime enthusiast from following their favorite characters. There are actually cosplayers that really amaze me, with the devotion, time and money they spend on their costumes. I've always wanted to try cosplaying but well I pretty much lack on all three aspects I mentioned especially money. So how many of us here cosplay or are somehow interested in it? And have you ever been into once of those conventions?

i never cosplayed but i loved to since i was in high school. the biggest problem is money. it takes lots of money to buy costumes or go to a tailor to sew you one. i am a huge anime fan that's why i love cosplay. the next problem is a place to hold a cosplay event. cosplays are being hed usually at far places that i can't go there (don't have money for transpo).

i have to agree on money. Costumes are pretty expensive especially if you want to be as explicitly similar to the character. Cosplays have been recently held in malls here so it is somewhat accessible already.
