does paypal offer any protection like credit cards?

I just wonder if you use your paypal account to pay for anything, would you get any protection at all? For instance, you would like to purchase certain items from those auction sites, ebay might be one of the popular one. If what you got is not matching on the description detail or totally different from what they show you on the picture, would you be able to dispute the charge from paypal too? I never use paypal to pay for anything, except I used paypal to receive payment. So I don't have slight idea of what it is really gonna work when you make purchase. Any advise?

Yes, if you are not happy with your purchase, for a good reason (the item was damaged, fake, didn't arrive etc), you can open what is called a dispute on Paypal. Paypal will then contact the seller and hear their story, and decide in favor of one of you. Usually the buyer wins, at least according to my experience. I have done this once, and I "won the case", so to speak.

So, if you really have to file a dispute with paypal, do you have to take any photo to prove that what you said is a truth? Because simply words of your mouth won't be convincing in most case. Sometimes, it happen with those credit card companies, since they don't trust your words, and they won't do any investigation at all.

Is that a truth? If I purchase anything from ebay, and it seems to be fake, and I dispute with paypal, since those auction sites accept paypal mostly. Would that be possible that I would get my full refund after they will investigate the case.

paypal & ebay are of one of the same company ;) paypal was actually made for ebay buyers, they have special treatment for purchase on ebay. And they have a buyer protection program. You can get very descriptive about what went wrong with the purchase, in the dipute center. i always got my money back when in issued a refund request.
