I consider myself lucky compare to my boss' business partner

After I signed the quitclaims from our former boss he gave us the verbal agreement that we should follow up our salary from his business partner which was the investor but it happens that he was not able to pay us due to lack of funds. So I have been judgmental to his investor to the extent of fighting with him until to the point that I sent verbal abuse or any offensive words to provoke him. Then we fought each other on the phone that we are shouting while arguing to each other until he have explained his side. There is only one thing that I was already enlightened while explaining his side that is why I decided to calm down and have consideration on him. (Sorry I can't divulge our exact conversation for the security reason) It has been a long time again that we haven't communicated to each other until I called him while ago and asked for the remaining balance that he have to pay me even if that is only partial since I need it so I can lend it to my boyfriend who needs it. But then he can't do my favor because he really lacks money that can't even pay for the tuition fee of his son and do other responsibilities. Therefore we've been talking about the past of what my boss did to all of us. I just knew the real situation that is happening between them as business partners. He opened up to me that he shelled out a lot of money just for the investment of this company that I have been also working last summer but then it came to the point that his other partners including my boss can't shell out the money anymore as they claimed that they don't have it even their own savings. Aside from that my boss even sold out the computer of his partner without the consent when they met each other at the office of course they were fighting about it that my boss should return his computer whereas it is his property and he was the one who bought for its parts, as my boss claimed it is a company property already that is why he has the right to do so. He also opened up to me that he can't easily earn money now as he is asking money from his parents and he is blaming himself for joining the venture of my boss then nothing happened. It came to the point that his parents scolded him for shelling out too much cash just for this company hoping that he will invest. All the money that he have invested even before he joined my boss venture were all gone now. I actually called up our previous employer wherein he was also my boss that I was assigned as freelance graphic artist. I have also heard the complaints of the account manager against him about lacking of responsibility to the extent of being missing in action. That is the time that I was totally more enlightened and alarmed about my boss therefore I felt my sympathy and sorry for what happened to his partner. It is now clear to me that it is my boss' fault at all and now I understand that his partner is the one who is telling the truth. So I decided not to claim my remaining balance from him and I also asked for apology of what I did before that I realized I was really wrong for giving wrong accusation to him that I judged his sympathy and sincerity that he wants to help us. I realized that I am still lucky compare to him that at least I didn't shell out any money compare to him considering the fact that he has son that he have to do other obligations especially in financial terms. We were not the only person that my boss fooled but including the people that are involved during the photoshoot of the magazine.
