I noticed there wasn't anyone talking about the Portland Oregon MLS Soccer Team yet. I'm excited about the new Timbers team, no more semi pro's just straight up PROFESSIONAL SOCCER. Just what the Portland / Vancouver area needed. Now fans in Seattle and Portland can commute to World Cup action. When does the season start? I thought I heard sometime in 2011.

I too am excited about the Timbers getting into the MLS. Together with Whitecaps and the already-established Sounders, a great professional soccer triangle up here in the Pacific Northwest could created. And for these teams to be just 5 or 6 hours away from each other, fans would have not trouble travelling to support their teams.
Whitecaps and Timbers start next season.
