It is quite understandable to hire an investigator for your husband/wife who is cheating... but how about for your kid? I knew a family who have done this. And they got what the information they wanted. That pleases them more than you know. But I think, their kid did not know about this. Would you consider this idea for your family?

NO, it's an invasion to their privacy. It's good if they don't find out. If they manage to find out, they are going to hate us forever. Though we are not the ones following them, but we are breaching our trust in them. To them, we don't keep our words, and so why should they. We are setting a bad example to them. Teenage years is the rebellious period of time for most people. That's the time they want to explore the world, and gain freedom. Whatever wrong they are in, they should do it at the age, because punishment is at its lightest. Would u rather our teenage kids to well behaved at young, only to become rebellious and uncontrollable when they are reaching adulthood?

You are so right!Invading someone's privacy is not right especially with your kids on the teenage years.

I wouldnt choose it for my husband or my children, I would rather ask them the questions that I need the answers to and hope they tell me the truth. I have a good relationship with my husband and my children are too young for all of this private investigation... But when they get older I will encourage them to tell the truth no matter what.

Trust is a very good value especially in the family. But once its lost, it is hard to do it anymore. Yes, we should encourage them always to tell the truth and let our children know about God so that they will be trained to be God-fearing individuals. We should first act on it beforehand since they are young. Proverbs 22:6 "Train up a child in the way he should go and when he gets old, he will never depart from it."
