Rollercoaster Tycoon

Do you guys remember Rollercoaster Tycoon, the PC game?? It was a game designed for users to be able to build and manage an amusement park. Building rides, managing the budget, hiring employees, the works. I mastered the first version of this game. I am just now playing the 3rd version of this game as of yesterday. I downloaded a demo version and loved it!! I miss games like this. I wish there was a way that I could download all 3 versions of this game somewhere for free. I doubt they are selling it in stores anymore.

It really is!! I've never heard of those games.. who are they made by? I may check them out! I used to like Sim Theme Park a lot too.. SimTunes.. SimCity lol all the Sim games really.

Wow really? I could never dream that EA would do something like that being that they are an already prestigious and established corporation. Smaller businesses always get the short end of the stick, though. Same thing happened with Fallout... Bethesda Studios bought it from the previous game design owners and it made it different but definitely for the better. Also, Fallout 4 is supposed to be coming out this year, however there has been no release date set yet. I have Fallout 3 here which centers around Washington DC and northern VA and is loosely based on a real map! Fallout 4 is supposed to be in Brazil. Also, there is a game in between 3 and 4 entitled Fallout: New Vegas which is of course in Las Vegas, NV. The concept of the game is so enticingly brilliant. A post apocalyptic world destroyed 200 years or more by nuclear war causing lots of mutated species, surviving humans that have adapted to food and water with radiation in it and lots more. It's great! Have you ever played this?

Bullfrog. The aren't around because EA bought them out and told them to make harry bluddy potter instead. I hate EA and will never support them. Pirate EA games cause they steal our hopes and dreams and money. Dungeon keeper 3 ?? scrapped thanks to EA.
Its not the 1st and wont be the last time EA has raped smaller companies. They have done it to many companies.

I definitely remember rollercoaster tycoon! I played it all the time when I was younger. It might actually be around my house somewhere.

It's crazy you mentioned this since just recently I've wanted to get out my copy of Rollercoaster Tycoon and play it (if only for those dancing pandas! 
). They do still sell it in stores; it all depends on where you go. You can usually find a copy in stores like Target and WalMart in their cheap PC game sections. I believe it will be $10 or less if you find it in a store like that.
You know, I played all three versions of the game, but I like the first the best. I hated how you lost the ability to charge for both the park entrance tickets AND rides in some of the scenarios in the later versions. It also got a little too busy for me later on...I didn't get to know and love many of the rides because there suddenly were so many and with hundreds of different options. For some people, I guess that's a good thing...but I liked the simplicity of the first one!
Older PC games are the best. I'm a huge fan of all the Sims games, Zoo Tycoon and Rollercoaster Tycoon (the originals) Age of Empires 2 and 3, and most of all: Dungeon Keeper 2. For DK2 I actually worked for hours to get it put onto a CD so I could play it...it's been over ten years since its release, and it's still my favorite PC game. It's hard to be able to play many of these games on new computers...you have to convert files and such.
By the way, isn't it amazing that the first Rollercoaster Tycoon was made entirely by one man? I'm not sure about the later editions, but that always amazed me...it's such a complete and addicting game.

I, too, LOVED this game!! I have only played the first one fully and here recently I tried the demo of the third one. I thought since it was soo old, maybe I could find a link where I could download the game for free. But, I have been unsuccessful in my search. I love the Sims, too. All of them. But I haven't played the newer versions of the Sims either. I never made it to Sims 2. I have never played Zoo Tycoon, but if it is anything like Rollercoaster Tycoon, then I am willing to try it!! I don't think I have a favorite PC game.. but there have been soo many that I've played. What is Dungeon Keeper about??

I don't know whether or not they are still selling the game in stores. However, if you really do want to find copies of all three versions of them, I would definitely suggest that you look at ebay and see if you can find it on there. Even if that were not to be a success, then you might even be able to look on Amazon and see if you can find them there. The one thing that I would caution on Amazon, however, is that it could be expensive.

i used to play it a long time ago, but a much greater game (same makers) transport tycoon and that came out when i wasnt born yet XD
i've played that a lot to!
but now i mostly play some games with more action... fps,mmorpgs, sometimes an rts

Transport Tycoon?? I've never heard of it, but it sounds interesting. What is it about? I play mmorpgs too.. my favorite one right now is Wizard 101 lol the concept of it is brilliant. Games like that and World of Warcraft revolutionized online gaming forever.
