ur bf/gf is dying in hospital and ask you to shut the machine. do you do it?^^

hi guys^^ if your bf/gf was dying in the hospital and asked you to shut the machine bcs even he was dying doctors said he has to stay there and cant go home but cant be cured at all would you shut the machine without doctors notice like your lover asked you to? :( about me would be so hard for me but i just couldnt see my bf in pain :( and if he would be alive and wouldnt get better ever and would die and while didnt die would be in pain i would do what he asked me to :( maybe i would kill myself later but i couldnt see him suffering more if would die anyway. so i would do as he asked. what about you guys? sure i wish it never happens to you guys this is just a discussion :) please dont take this wrong ok? please share your opinions^^

My wife knows my wishes on this issue. I do not want to be kept alive on a machine if I have no hope of recovery. I do not want to live my life as a vegetable, so my wife knows to turn off the machine if something happens to me that puts me into that state. However, you are referring to doing it while the doctors are not in the room, and where I am from, that is illegal. I am not sure what the actual charges would be, but I think you could actually be charged with manslaughter for doing that.

aw yes noone wants to be alive like a vegetable. thats not being alive at all. if you cant never wake up sure. yes i meant without doctors and you are awake and wont be well never again and ask her to shut the machine. well noone needed to know about it. was just for you dont suffer no more. thats why i said i would and then kill myself. bcs is hard to be you shutting machine for your bf die.

I don't think I could do it, it would hurt me very much to see my boyfriend in enough pain where he would just rather die but a part of me would be very selfish in I would just want him to stay alive and stay with me. It would be one of those hardest descissions of your life that you hope you never will have to make.

buy asking that he would be selfish, and care nothing about you... and i would dump him at the very moment...
i can understand he is in pain or depression, but to put on you the burdain of taking somebody`s life is huge, terrible, cruel
plus, in many countries you will also go to jail for doing that...
so just forgive him or dump him, but don`t pull the plug;)

aw you would really break up? thats terrible :( he was dying and you would even do that? thats too bad :( he would be too sad. i understand what you mean but it was only to take away his pain. he would die. couldnt be saved. would you really like to see your bf feeling pain everyday when he couldnt survive anymore? that would be just do the best for him by doing what he asked.
