Photography Class/Seminar/Workshop for beginners?

Hi there! Have you ever tried joining photography class, seminar or workshop? Is it really a big help joining one? I mean I've been very anxious about it because I want to enroll to some sort of photography class,etc. since I've been loving photography just these past few months. Maybe you can share your experience if you tried one. You can also recommend good photographers that conduct classes, seminars or workshops. Thanks a lot. Your responses will be a big help to me. I am from Philippines and I want to start by November.
