Terrorism does not equal Islam

I am sick of seeing posts called Muslims terrorists. Do you all think terrorism started on September 11? Was it Muslims blowing up people in Northern Ireland? This has been going on for a lot longer than terrorism came to USA shores.

And people also tend to forget that Timothy McVeigh was born right here in the USA, so terrorism was here before 9/11.

Well, you're right about being sick of these attacks on religion on MyLot. I feel no one should condemn another religion on an open forum - it sparks too much controversy and there are many out there who just try to get a laugh out of people pulling each other to pieces.

You are right, and vulnerable people feel attacked and start retalliating. I am a Christian but I am often ashamed of fellow Christians and the way they approach such topics. There is nothing funny or smart about upsettting others.

It's very sad that the world is looking at religion as a war tool. In Sri Lanka , the 20 years ethnic war had a devastating impact on everyone of us. Now, after the Cease fire Agreement, there's no niose of fire arms. But new conflicts among religions in Sri Lanka, might provoke different kind of war. If you look around the world, poeple fight for religion. And now it has become a global problem. I believe in God. I believe that God is one and his revelation is one, although we see this in different angles. Do you see any difference between a tear from the eyes of a Hindu child or Buddhist child or Jewish chid or christain child or muslim child?

Thank you for your excellent post. I had not thought of the Sri Lankan conflict but you are right, that is also religiously based. There is no difference between the pain of a mother in Palestine, Sri Lanka, Belfast, Sudan or anywhere in the world who weeps over her child.
