Yes, Van Der Vaart had a real mixed match for the Spurs. First he misses a penalty then scores the goal that sets Spurs off on the goal riot. Then he gets himself sent off. I think Van Der Vaart adds guile to the Tottenham midfield and is another shrewd signing by Harry Redknapp. But it has been a great start to Tottenham in the Champions League. Let's see if they can make it to the knockouts. Cheers! Ram

i think rafael van de vart is best bought for tottenham..he become a instrumental player which had many experience in champions league.. he can make midfielder of hotspur rich and many variations to play and attack.. he can be friends with luka modric and niko kranjcar..fantastis.. redknapp had many optional to make 1 from of 3 players become playmaker or play 3 players together.. after winning for twente, hotspurs had chance qualifying beside inter.. whats do you think??

Yes, the fact that he was not getting game time for Real Madrid meant that he was on the lookout. And Harry is very good at identifying such candidates and bringing them in. So yes it was definitely a smart piece of business by Harry on the last day!! Cheers! Ram

I have seen the highlights from this game, and until he was sent off, Van der Vaart had a great game, with many great touches of the ball and scoring a superb goal. He deserved the red card, and now he will be absent against Inter, which is a negative aspect looking from the point of view of Tottenham. I think they are a good team, especially at home, and they have a great chance to qualify in the knock out stage of the Champions League, although I would like Bremen to qualify. But who knows, maybe they will both qualify and leave Inter to continue in the Europa League. That would be the best, I would really enjoy this happening.
