Hey, I wonder do you have some talismans that you can take every time it is an important event in your life? Do you think it is helpful to believe that something will definitely bring you some good luck? I have my amber bracelet and wooden ring that I call my talismans :)

I keep honeybees and sell the honey. An aquaintance also keeps bees, and she always places a religious medal (talisman) on the bottom of the hive. She says this helps the bees stay healthy and gather honey. I laugh at her and say," If this talisman really helped the bees stay healthy and gather honey, every beekeeper in the world would have one in his beehive!" She replies, "Well maybe so, but it makes me feel good!" This is the extent of a talisman's value, - just to make the owner feel good!

Thank you for the interesting story! I completely agree that talismans serve as a material evidence of our faith and sense of security :)

I don't suppose that talismans can exert their fullest power with one putting his faith entirely on that. I admit that I do wear talismans whenever I engage in contests or long trips, but my purpose for them is just decoration and faith. I know for myself that they bring good luck provided that my faith in God will not waver. So, talismans do bring good luck provided that you have faith in God.

Thank your for your comment. I hope you will keep your faith strong with or without the help of talismans during tough times :)
